A National Historic Landmark, free and open to the public, the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum hosts exhibitions and programs that connect histories of social transformation to the present. For the University of Illinois Chicago and for national and international visitors, the museum endures as a site of activism, creative expression, research, and education.

To close out the Halloween festivities, the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum will host our annual Halloween Open House. Visitors can see a tarot reader, enjoy silent films contemporary to Jane Addams, and hear some of the Hull-House settlement’s m CAMPOUT, A Night in the Woods is an intimate & immersive experience for a brave audience of two, created by Maddison Wise & Kevin Michael Wesson.

Using puppetry, storytelling, and full sensory immersion, audiences are guided for one night to Congratulations to Hull-House collaborators Titus Wonsey and Michal Koszycki for taking home the AIA Chicago Lerch Bates People’s Choice Award in the Cultural Category! 

At Designight 2025 on September 12, the designers behind the new Hull-Hou Visit Hull-House for a nighttime history tour led by a Hull-House Educator. Engage with stories from the settlement’s past, when immigrant neighbors responded to the rapid transformations of industrialism with tales of imagination and horror.

Last call for Radical Craft x The Weaving Mill special edition merchandise!

Inspired by Ellen Gates Starr, co-founder of Hull-House, and the HH textiles collection, our exhibition special edition blankets and book scarves are down to the final few. Big thanks to @auricleproject for bringing scrap !!! attack, their free-for-a-favor show to Hull-House. The artists shared stories of dedicated anarchists, of the search for a new identity after tragedy, of the creation and corruption of a new world. In partnership with the HANA Center and artist Aram Han Sifuentes, Hull-House hosted  a community gathering and special exhibit on Sunday, June 1.
