Imperfect Truths: A Live Action Self-Love Guide Book performed by {she crew} youth

The truth is by its own nature imperfect, incomplete, sad and hilarious, mundane and ridiculous, unbelievable and metaphorical. Being a truth-teller while in a state of perpetual flux can be a revolutionary act. And at the very least, it is still the truth. Join {she crew} for their 6th annual Summer Presentation of new works, all created and performed by {she crew} youth.

For five consecutive summers, Jane Addams Hull-House Museum has been home to {shecrew} - a program providing safe-space and expressive platforms for girls and gender-nonconforming youth. After a summer of expressive writing, collaborative creations and communal cooking {shecrew}’s Summer Intensive culminates in Imperfect Truths: A live action self-love guide book. The performance explores coming to terms with oneself, our locations in the world and how we can support each other.

The Sunday performance is in partnership with the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, as a way to celebrate our the Museum's Summer of Theatre Program. This program features local Chicago-based improv and theater practitioners, learners and innovators

Performance are Friday, July 26th at 6:00 PM and Sunday, July 28 at 3:30-5:00 PM
