Girl Scout Program Overview

The Jane Addams Hull-House Museum is partnering with the Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana for two programs in November 2016 and March 2017. These programs will be offered for Junior and Cadette level Girl Scouts. We are excited to announce that for the first time, participating Girl Scouts will earn a badge at the end of the day. Come and join us for an exploration of history and make new friends! 


Radical Grrrl 'Zines! (Junior Level, Grades 4-5)

Take a tour of the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum and explore race, class, gender, and sexuality through the history of 20th century female reformers. Explore the issues that were fought for and how they connect to today, learn about radical female history, create your own 'zine, and earn your DRAWING BADGE!


Feminism is for Everybody! (Cadette Level, Grades 6-8)

Turn back the clock to 1889 and learn about the radical history of women who dared to fight for racial, gender, immigration, and labor justice. Take a tour of the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, create your own 'zine to celebrate powerful women in your life, imagine the world you would like to create, and earn your BOOK ARTIST BADGE!
